You can purchase your tickets on board the bus or through the mobile app, Entur.

For some distances, you will need to book transportation in advance. You will find booking information in each individual timetable:

Train to Otta or Dombås

To get to the main starting points of your journey into the mountains, you can take the train to Otta or Dombås. 

The trains run from Oslo, Trondheim, Åndalsnes and Lillehammer, and are powered by the train operators SJ and VY.

Valdresekspressen and Øst-Vest Xpressen

You can travel with the express buses Valdresekspressen and Øst-Vest Xpressen from Oslo and Bergen to destinations such as Lillehammer, Fagernes, Beitostølen, Gjendesheim and Tyinkrysset.

Express buses

VY provides express buses between Oslo, Trondheim, Bergen, Fagernes, Ålesund and Åndalsnes, that will take you to destinations such as Ringebu, Otta, Lom, and Dombås.

Gjendebåten

You can take the ferry “Gjendebåten” between Gjendesheim, Memurubu and Gjendebu. The ferry runs several times a day during the summer.

M/B Bitihorn

The ferry “M/B Bitihorn” will take you to the mountain destinations Bygdin, Torfinnsbu and Eidsbugarden. The ferry runs several times a day during the summer.

M/S Rondejenta

The ferry "M/S Rondejenta" will take you from Rondvassbu to the northern end of Rondvatnet. The ferry runs twice a day every day during the summer.
